Clark carded a one-over 72 on Sunday at the RBC Heritage to finish eight-under and tied for 27th.
Clark hit only 31 of 56 fairways in regulation while losing 2.7 strokes off the tee throughout his week at Harbour Town, though he ranked top-10 among the field in SG: Putting and putts per GIR en route to 19 total birdies. Clark will be in attendance again this week for the Zurich Classic of New Orleans alongside teammate Taylor Moore.
Clark (neck) carded a six-under 64 in the final round to finish in a tie for fifth place at the Texas Children's Houston Open.
Clark had to withdraw from THE PLAYERS Championship a couple weeks ago with a neck injury. It didn't seem to give him any problems in Houston. After making the cut on the number, Clark surged on the weekend firing back-to-back 64's to vault all the way to the top-five. Clark gained strokes across the board, including finishing top-11 in SG: Off-the-Tee and SG: Putting. We will see the 2023 U.S. Open Champion next at The Masters.
Clark has withdrawn from The Players Championship on Friday.
The severity of the neck injury is unknown, though Clark made the decision after nine holes Friday. He made the turn in 40 before backing out. Clark carded even-par in 72 strokes during the first round of The Players Championship on Thursday.
Clark carded a two-over 74 on Sunday at the Arnold Palmer Invitational to finish even-par and tied for 22nd.
Clark earned first-round leader honors after firing a five-under 67 with a late tee time Thursday, but he played his final 54 holes at Bay Hill in a combined five-over-par to drop out of contention over the weekend. He ultimately hit only 29 of 56 fairways in regulation while losing 1.75 strokes putting, but Clark finished seventh among the field in SG: Around-the-Green and T11 in GIR percentage. Clark improves 14 spots to No. 61 in the early FedExCup standings ahead of the upcoming PLAYERS Championship where he tied for second last year.
