Burns carded a four-under 67 on Sunday at the RBC Heritage to finish 10-under and tied for 13th.
Burns played Sunday's final round in bogey-free fashion at Harbour Town, where he ultimately ranked fourth among the field in SG: Off-the-Tee while also gaining nearly three strokes with the flat stick. He's now gained strokes putting in seven consecutive starts dating back to The Genesis Invitational, but his iron and wedge play remain as concerns.
Burns recorded a two-day score of one-over-par to miss the cut at last week's Valero Texas Open by three shots.
Burns' eventful second round at TPC San Antonio included five birdies, but he also tallied four bogeys, one double and a triple on the par-5 18th to end his week early. The putter continues to cooperate for Burns, but he's now missed the cut in three consecutive starts ahead of the upcoming Masters Tournament.
Burns carded a two-over 74 on Sunday at the Arnold Palmer Invitational to finish six-over and tied for 48th.
Burns lost a career-worst 10.1 strokes on approach this past week at Bay Hill, though he ranked fourth among the API field in SG: Putting and 16th in SG: Around-the-Green. He's now lost strokes with his irons in five of six outings to begin his 2025 campaign, but Burns will look to keep the putter hot at the upcoming PLAYERS Championship where he's made the cut each of the last three years.
