Hovland closed with a two-under 69 on Sunday at the RBC Heritage to finish 10-under and tied for 13th.
Hovland finished his week at Harbour Town ranked T2 among the field in birdies with 20 total tweeters, though he also carded eight bogeys and a double while converting just 17 of 26 scrambling opportunities. He's now gained a collective 11.7 strokes putting across his past three starts, and the iron play remains strong as well.
Hovland recorded a two-day score of five-over-par to miss the cut at this past week's Arnold Palmer Invitational by one shot.
Hovland lost over six strokes putting throughout his 36 holes at Bay Hill, though he gained 4.3 strokes on approach en route to seven birdies despite 1.86 putts per GIR. He's now missed back-to-back cuts dating to The Genesis Invitational, while his short game remains a major concern. Nonetheless, Hovland will tee it up again this week at THE PLAYERS Championship where he placed T62-T3-T9 the last three years.
