Whaley closed with a one-under 70 on Sunday at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship to finish 10-under and tied for third.
Whaley played his first six holes in four-under-par during Sunday's final round at Port Royal, but he failed to make another birdie thereafter, ultimately falling two strokes shy of eventual tournament champion Adam Schenk. Nonetheless, the T3 result marked Whaley's third top-3 finish of the FedExCup Fall, ascending him to 73rd in the standings. Whaley plans to peg it again this week at The RSM Classic where he placed T8-T13 the past two years.
Whaley closed with a four-under 68 on Sunday at the World Wide Technology Championship to finish 19-under and tied for 17th.
Whaley racked up 24 total birdies and an eagle throughout his week in Mexico, ultimately making his 17th consecutive cut while improving to 86th in the FedExCup Fall standings. He'll tee it up again this week at Port Royal where he's placed T5-T8-T7 in his last three Butterfield Bermuda Championship appearances.
Whaley fired a four-under 67 on Sunday at the Bank of Utah Championship to finish nine-under and tied for 37th.
Whaley gained just north of three strokes with the flat stick during Sunday's final round at the Black Desert Resort, where he ultimately ranked third among the field in SG: Putting and fourth in scrambling for the week. He's now gone 16 consecutive starts without a single missed cut, landing 89th in the current FedExCup Fall standings.
