Eckroat fired a three-under 68 on Sunday at the RBC Heritage to finish seven-under and tied for 32nd.
Eckroat finished top-25 among the field in both SG: Approach and GIR percentage at Harbour Town, but he continues to struggle with his wedge play around the greens. Nonetheless, he improves five spots to No. 89 in the FedExCup standings, bouncing back from back-to-back missed cuts in his previous two starts at the Texas Children's Houston Open and the Masters.
Eckroat carded a two-day total of one-under-par to miss the cut at this past week's Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches by four shots.
Eckroat, who won at PGA National in 2024, failed to advance to the weekend this time around as he hit only 15 of 28 fairways in regulation while also losing 1.99 strokes putting. He's now missed the cut in three consecutive starts since his T13 effort at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, descending to 66th in the FedExCup standings. Eckroat will attempt to bounce back at Bay Hill Club this week where he tied for 36th in his Arnold Palmer Invitational debut last year.
