Hojgaard and Rasmus Hojgaard finished solo second at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans following a four-under 68 in the final round.
The Danish twins missed the cut together in this event last year, but they were determined to not have the same result again this time around. After a 13-under 59 in the opening round of best ball, the Hojgaard's stayed in contention the rest of the week, but ultimately would fall just one shot shy of earning their first PGA Tour victories. There was a bit of luck involved on a drop on the 72nd hole, but it worked out to where they were able to make birdie and secure the solo second. It's been a slow start for both players, but this big haul of points will move Nicolai into 75th in the FedExCup standings. He will look to carry that momentum into the next individual event next week at THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson.
