Potgieter (undisclosed) is listed in the field for this week's Nedbank Golf Challenge.
Potgieter withdrew after his opening round at the Bank of Utah Championship in late October due to an undisclosed reason, but he'll return to tournament competition this week on the DP World Tour at the Nedbank Golf Challenge where he tied for second last year.
Potgeiter withdrew before the second round of the Bank of Utah Championship, PGA Tour Communications reports.
Potgeiter finished the first round of the Utah tournament before ultimately withdrawing from said tourney. It is unclear why he withdrew from Utah, but the withdrawal will cause him to be considered out until further notice.
Potgieter closed with a three-under 68 on Sunday at the Baycurrent Classic to finish six-under and tied for 33rd.
Potgieter bounced back from a six-over 77 in Round 1 by playing his final 54 holes in a collective 12-under-par at Yokohama Country Club, where he ultimately ranked 10th among the field in SG: Putting and 26th in SG: Around-the-Green. However, the 21-year-old South African lost 3.4 strokes with his irons in Japan, and he hit only 33 of 60 fairways in regulation. Nonetheless, Potgieter remains 52nd in the FedExCup Fall standings.
