Yu carded a two-day total of two-under at the World Wide Technology Championship to miss the cut by three strokes.
Yu was one of the top betting choices entering the week but struggled to get much going with back-to-back rounds of 71 at El Cardonal at Diamonte, which was yielding low scores. He dropped shots on 6-of-36 holes and had a lofty 1.87 putts per GIR. It's Yu's first missed cut across four events this fall, and he moves down one spot to 60th in the FedExCup Fall Standings.
Yu closed with a five-under 66 on Sunday at the Baycurrent Classic to finish eight-under and tied for 20th.
Yu birdied four of his first five holes during Sunday's final round at Yokohama Country Club, where he ultimately ranked sixth among the field in SG: Off-the-Tee and 12th in putts per GIR en route to 20 total par-breakers across 72 holes. After back-to-back top-20 results at the Sanderson Farms Championship and the Baycurrent Classic, Yu resides 61st in the FedExCup Fall standings.
