Hoey closed with a six-under 64 in the final round of the Texas Children's Houston Open to finish in a share of 11th place.
Hoey saved his best round of the week for Sunday, where he surged on the back-nine with five birdies in the final six holes to climb 24 spots on the leaderboard in the final round to narrowly miss out on a top-10 result. His driving play stood out as he ranked second for the week in driving accuracy and seventh in SG: Off-the-tee. The T11 result is Hoey's best finish of the year and second top-25.
Hoey fired a six-under 66 in the final round of The PLAYERS Championship to finish in a share of 33rd place.
Hoey bounced back from a third-round 78 by tying for the low round of the day Sunday that was highlighted by an eagle and six birdies to go along with two bogeys. It could've been a much better week had he not lost over seven strokes on the greens as he led the field for the week in SG: Off-the-tee. Hoey currently sits 134th in the FedExCup Standings with his best result being T25 at PGA National.
