Walker posted a two-under 70 on Sunday at The PLAYERS Championship to finish nine-under and in a share of sixth place.
Walker got into the event after Jason Day withdrew Thursday morning, and the late addition took advantage by storming up the leaderboard after making the cut on the number with rounds of 66-70 over the weekend en route to the top-10 finish. The PGA Tour rookie ranked second for the week in SG: Off-the-tee and fourth from tee to green. Walker has now made four consecutive cuts with a pair of top-15s.
Walker is in the field for the Players Championship, PGA Tour Communications reports.
Walker replaces Jason Day, who withdrew from the Players Championship because of an illness. The former most recently scored eight-under par during the Puerto Rico Open.
