Day (illness) has committed to next week's Texas Children's Houston Open.
Day withdrew from THE PLAYERS Championship early Thursday morning with an illness, which certainly hurt a lot of DFS and fantasy players who were hoping to trot the former TPC Sawgrass winner out in a big event. Day will look to get some more confidence in Houston in what will likely be his final start before The Masters. He finished T8 in his last start at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
Day has withdrawn from the Players Championship with an illness, PGA Tour Communications reports.
Just two hours before the Players Championship, Day withdrew from the upcoming big tournament, with his spot taken by Danny Walker. It is unclear how long Day's relatively sudden illness will take to subside, but March continues to be a rough month for him, especially after he struggled in the final round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
